we had to do this. We already had some Maradona T-Shirt in our shop. But after he roused a lot of trouble with his, let’s say, not-so-gentlemen-like words, he is again in the center of a fierce discussion. And a public offer for everyone who kept talking shi disrespectful of him to fellate his pene diao - all we can say is: this is gonna be legen … wait for it … dary! And well worth making a tee off.

Latest news: FIFA is planning to take action agains the trainer for his rude language. But not (most probably) being a national trainer you are better off wearing a T-shirt with this slogan. If you, like us, are part of the generation that grew up with the first or second wave of video gaming, you will understand the nostalgia that we’re talking about when it comes to game classics like Mario Bros. or The Legend of Zelda.

Objectively and with the standards of today, late-eighties Nintendo Gameboys were plastic bricks with few possibilities, a crappy low-contrast display and annoying 8bit sounds. However, most of us have spent countless hours with it, waiting for the school bus, on rainy afternoons or clandestinely playing the last levels in bed. This generation growing up celebrates a sentimental glorification of earlier computer games like PacMan, Pong or Tetris.

The 8bit aesthetic, born of limited technical possibilites, has become an art of its own. Think of pixel artists like eboy or 8bit music, be it the so-called Nintendocore of Horse The Band or the Beatles versions of 8bit operators (just discovered via Nerdcore).

So, with all game classics like Super Mario Bros, Mario Kart or Donkey Kong still playable and emulated online, they are not only unforgotten, but still alive and kicking. We created a bunch of geek T-shirts as a tribute to these games and the fun we had with them. First off: the Mario Bros. T shirts, the cute star and the Mario Bros mushroom T-Shirt which will give you super powers and extra lives as long as you wear them.

The Zelda T-Shirt features the logo prominently and looks great on you even for those who don’t know its origin. When you create a custom T-shirt with this design, gold foil print on black tee is highly recommended.

The Donkey Kong shirt is a great idea for an instant Halloween costume: dress & ape.

As our current Shirt of the week we present to you a true classic. As classic as it gets one could say.

“Choose Life” is not only a thoroughly affirmative and optimistic slogan, it sums up a way of living. Its creator Katherine Hamnet was inspired by Buddhism. By the way, while we are at linking up: How many T-Shirts have made their way into a Wikipedia article? Not many. The Choose Life T-shirt has. It has been the starting point for the novel “Trainspotting”. And the slogan has also been used by anti-abortion actionists (though this is not the idea of it).

To let you know: A new shirt came out today at Scribtee, our T-Shirt design contest. It was one of those who were only some votes short of winning the grand prize, but due to their awesomeness we chose to have them printed anyway. We are happy to add its talented designer Mike Friedrich from our wonderful hometown Berlin to our range of winners.
