Vampires are huge. Well, thanks to Anne Rice and other authors’ spooky stories and movies bloodsucking creatures have never been really out, but with the Twilight book and movie series there’s vampire and werewolf mania. That says basically all, or at least a lot.

We’ll start the year with a bit of a look back at the past year. I had a look at our best selling T-shirts in 2009 - all year, all countries. Since some of the designs are around in variations (like in one color and two color versions for example) and others belong together by subject, I decided to sum up the subjects that belong together. But adding up the numbers of designs sold LOST emerged as our top T-shirt trend in 2009. You particularly liked the Dharma T-Shirt, the Oceanic airlines T-Shirt and the famous sequence of numbers.

Make sure you get your gifts before christmas

We have received some questions on that, so here’s the information for you all:

To make sure you get your customized gift items for your loved ones on time for christmas, please make sure you placed your paid order until december 11 if you live in the US or Canada. Paid order means: we need to have received the payment by then. When you pay with credit card or PayPal express your order gets registered immediately and we start producing it. We have it shipped out on monday, december 14th. It has to travel across the big pond then. You should have received it by wednesday, december 23.

Generally you cant count two (work) days for making the tee and five to seven days for shipping. The delievery services have communicated us these delays.

And after that? We can give no guarantees for orders placed after the deadlines. However, a clever alternative and great last minute gift is a shirtcity gift certificate. This gets sent to you or the recipient by email and you get this immediately. So you can make sure the recepient gets exactly the custom made T-shirt he/ she wants and don’t have to worry about choosing the right size or design.

Custom printed longsleeve shirts

As said in the previous post, winter season is here. We react to this with some cool Xmas and winter designs - but “Winter T-shirts” sounds a bit like an oxymoron, right? But of course Shirtcity is not only the place for short sleeves.

We offer a range of products that keep you warm, and of course all of them can be custom printed with your text and design ideas. And to help you find the right product for your needs, we briefly introduce our long sleeved products, starting from light to warm:

A longsleeve shirt is basically a T-shirt with elongated sleeves. We have three of these in store: a male one, the baseball longsleeve with contrasting sleeves and a lady longsleeve. Nice ones to wear inside.

Printed hoodies and sweaters

When you need something warmer you can opt for a nice comfy sweater (right) which is recommended for, say, rooms with a broken heating. Add a hood and a handy front pocket to this and you will have - a hoodie. There we also have three models: The American Apparel hoodie (left) is a high quality product with a modern cut, more tight fitting and made from a lighter fabric - the ideal choice for warm summer nights. If you, like us, are part of the generation that grew up with the first or second wave of video gaming, you will understand the nostalgia that we’re talking about when it comes to game classics like Mario Bros. or The Legend of Zelda.

Objectively and with the standards of today, late-eighties Nintendo Gameboys were plastic bricks with few possibilities, a crappy low-contrast display and annoying 8bit sounds. We created a bunch of geek T-shirts as a tribute to these games and the fun we had with them. First off: the Mario Bros.
